I am a Californian artist whose work blends experimental and abstract elements. I discovered my passion for drawing during my time at community college while studying business. Over the course of my undergraduate and graduate years, where I also studied data analytics, I deepened my artistic craft.
What started as casual doodles in notebooks eventually evolved into pen-and-ink line work on canvas. When everyone would tell me to write down my thoughts and feelings, I discovered that drawing was a lot easier. Growing up, with all of the opinions around me, it was difficult to be and understand myself. The cool thing about drawing was not only the freedom, but also being able to look at a picture of what I was feeling.
The freedom I feel as an artist is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. I get to be 100% authentic, expressing myself through my art without anyone dictating what changes I should make or how I should approach it. This is my art, and it is me. The beautiful thing about art is we all interpret it differently based on what we are going through or feel in the moment. Through my work, I aim to take viewers on a personal, imaginative journey that offers a sense of peace and connection.
One thing people can expect to find in my artwork is a balance between simplicity and complexity. Beyond my personal connection to art, I also find joy in how people interpret my work. Whether it brings hope, joy, or positive energy into a space, knowing that my art has the potential to positively impact others' lives is incredibly rewarding.
